Almo executes major expansion of sales and logistics capabilities for major appliances across the United States.

Philadelphia, PA – January 25, 2016: Almo Corporation, the national independent distributor of Appliances, Consumer Electronics, Professional A/V equipment and Housewares, today announced an extensive expansion of their Dealer Channel Appliance and Electronics Distributing sales and logistics capabilities prompted by growth that continues to outpace the industry.

Almo Distributing, which focuses on the appliance and electronics dealer channel within Almo Corporation, has announced an eJ Halperin - docxpansion of their sales and logistics capabilities that is unprecedented in the company’s history. Led by Jack Halperin, Senior Vice President of Dealer Channel Sales, Almo Distributing has been experiencing year-over-year growth that continues to outpace the industry.  This growth, coupled with expanded business relationships with several manufacturer partners, has necessitated the change.  The expansion project, which includes warehouse capacities in several locations, field sales staff, and inside support staff, is designed to ensure that Almo Distributing is able to continue to fulfill their mission statement ‘to help its independent dealers grow and prosper’ while also helping their manufacturer partners grow their share of available business in the markets Almo serves.

The sales team project includes a 30% increase in staffing along with territory realignments. The logistics component of the project has resulted in expansion of Almo’s overall distribution center capacity to over 2 million square feet.  Capacity has been or is currently being executed in the Philadelphia, Atlanta and Dallas distribution centers which will enhance delivery timeframes of most major appliance brands throughout the United States.
