Philadelphia, PA — August 18, 2025 — Almo Corporation, the largest independent distributor of appliances, professional AV, electronics, furniture and housewares in the U.S., today announced the retirement of Jack Halperin, Senior Vice President of Almo’s Dealer Channel Division, effective at the end of this month. Halperin’s retirement marks the culmination of a remarkable career spanning more than 40 years in the electronics and appliance industries. During his 16-year tenure at Almo, Halperin played a critical role in shaping the company’s sales and customer experience strategies across its $400M-plus dealer channel business.
In his most recent role, Halperin oversaw Almo’s nationwide sales organization, leading six field Vice Presidents and more than 35 Territory Account Managers, along with the National Inside Sales Support and Customer Service teams. His leadership has been instrumental in driving growth, building long-term customer partnerships, and creating a strong, aligned sales culture.
“Jack’s leadership and deep industry insight have played a pivotal role in Almo’s growth and long-term success,” said Troy Draper, President and CEO of DCC Technology North America. “His influence goes far beyond the numbers as he’s been a mentor and a champion for our people, partners and customers. We’re deeply grateful for his many contributions and wish him all the best as he begins this well-deserved next chapter.”
Reflecting on his time at Almo, Halperin shared, “It’s been an incredible journey. I’m proud of the team we built, the things we accomplished, the partnerships we developed, the way we helped our independent dealers grow and prosper, and the manner in which we reinforced our long-standing company culture of truly putting people first. Almo’s culture, values, and customer focus are second to none. I leave knowing their future is in great hands.”
Halperin’s career highlights include specialties in strategic planning and execution, sales team development, organizational restructuring, and customer service transformation. He is also known for his deep expertise in sales compensation design and performance metrics.
Prior to joining Almo, Halperin spent 23 diverse years with Sony Electronics where he held various senior sales management and marketing roles, and then three years as Director of Merchandising at PC Richard and Son. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Rutgers University, Camden and Mid-Management level M.B.A. certification from Southern Methodist University in Texas.
Halperin’s last official day at Almo is slated for August 31, after which time, he will continue to partner with the organization to ensure continuity across the sales and customer service teams in an executive advisor and consultative capacity.
